On the afternoon of April 4, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee had a working session with the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations of the province on the results of some aspects of work in the first quarter and key tasks in the second quarter of 2025.
In the first quarter, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province implemented the action coordination program, mobilizing and presenting nearly 88,000 gifts to the poor, near-poor, and meritorious families, with a total value of more than 63 billion VND. Chairing and launching the Front and member organizations to respond to the emulation movement "Striving to increase Ca Mau province's GRDP growth by 8% or more in 2025", participating in implementing breakthrough solutions for science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the province. In addition, it also issued an open letter calling for support for the Gratitude Fund on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, and 8 agencies have registered to contribute more than 67 billion VND.
Carrying out the task of registering with the Provincial Party Standing Committee according to the approved project of 4,400 houses, with a funding need of more than 235 billion VND, up to now, 3,280 houses have been started, reaching nearly 75% of the project, the total allocated funding is more than 219 billion VND and 1,885 houses have been completed, reaching more than 57% of the number started.
In addition, the Front also coordinated with the province's socio-political organizations to mobilize working days to help people build houses with a conversion rate of about 36 billion VND. On the other hand, the unit also focused on building a residential area of "Self-management, solidarity, prosperity, and happiness", accordingly, it directed districts and cities to choose 1 residential area for pilot implementation.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai acknowledged the results and efforts of the province's socio-political organizations in the past time. He said that the restructuring of the apparatus aims to gather the strength of socio-political organizations, create high-quality human resources, and ensure professional work; it is necessary to connect the Party with the People, and be confident in the restructuring and streamlining of the apparatus; the theory to propagate to union members and members must be unified and clear so that everyone can unanimously implement, aiming for a sustainable economic development; the outstanding development of science and technology creates momentum for Vietnam in general and Ca Mau in particular in the integration process. To do that, it requires the Front and the province's socio-political organizations to catch up and put it into practical application.
Focus on effectively implementing activities and movements according to the policies of the Central and the province; improve the effectiveness of movements and activities, overcome formalism, administrativeization, and spread; movements and activities must originate from practical needs, ensure depth, effectiveness, create widespread, practical, and long-term effects.
Continue to pay attention to closely coordinating in implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
Promote the role, responsibility and volunteer spirit in participating in the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province in 2025 in accordance with Directive No. 22-CT/TU, dated October 17, 2024 of the Standing Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee. Build movements and activities through socio-economic development programs, ensure national defense, security and social security, contribute to achieving the national growth target of 8% or more; strive to complete the socio-economic targets in 2025 at the highest level.
