In April, the Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council Committees performed well their functions, tasks and powers according to the provisions of law; focusing on promulgating regulations to monitor and evaluate the activities of the Delegation Groups and People's Council delegates, directing the improvement of the quality of the verification work of the People's Council Committees; preparing to organize the People's Council working conferences, thematic voter contact conferences; deploying thematic supervision of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Council Committees, and the Provincial People's Council Delegation Groups according to plan. Organizing meetings of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee according to regulations. Receiving citizens, urging the settlement of complaints and denunciations. Giving opinions on proposals to draft resolutions and contents under its authority to ensure quality and timeliness. Consulting and giving opinions on contents assigned by the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee.
In May, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council organized thematic supervision of the Provincial People's Council on the implementation of policies and laws on tourism development in the province, period 2021-2023. Organized the 2024 Provincial People's Council Conference; Plan to organize meetings with voters on the topic "Promoting the development of the marine economy associated with improving the quality of life, material and spiritual life for people, protecting sea and island sovereignty". Prepare the content of the regular session program for the mid-year 2024, expected to take place in early July 2024; direct the preparation of content for the organization of Provincial People's Council sessions, meetings of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee. Organize citizen reception, handle and urge the settlement of voters' petitions, complaints, denunciations and reflections of citizens according to the provisions of law. Provincial People's Council Committees organize supervision according to the set program and plan; Review draft resolutions, proposals for drafting resolutions and contents as assigned by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council; receive citizens according to regulations; monitor, supervise and urge the response and settlement of voters' petitions; participate in preparing and organizing meetings of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, explain at meetings of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council; meet with voters on special topics.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Economic - Budget Committee reported the results of consulting and proposing, giving opinions on the contents assigned by the Party Delegation of the Provincial People's Council on: Advance budget for the implementation of the Than River Reservoir project; Investment policy for the An Hai New Rural Residential Area project; Phuoc Hoa Pumped Storage Hydropower Project. The Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council reported the results of the examination of the proposal to develop a Resolution regulating the policy of drug prevention, control and combat in Ninh Thuan province until 2030 and a Resolution promulgating the Regulations on principles, criteria, and norms for allocating medium-term and annual state budget capital to implement the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021-2030, phase I: from 2021 to 2025 in Ninh Thuan province.
Speaking at the meeting, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council highly appreciated the activities of the Provincial People's Council in April; requested each delegate, delegation, committee and member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to continue to promote the sense of responsibility to complete the tasks set out in May. In particular, he paid special attention to coordinating with the Provincial People's Committee, relevant levels and sectors to review, research, and quickly complete the submissions, draft resolutions, as well as prepare all conditions for the regular mid-year session of the Provincial People's Council. Regarding the projects that the Economic-Budget Committee reported at the meeting, the Economic-Budget Committee was requested to continue to coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee, relevant sectors and units to continue to research and review mechanisms, legality, and planning to have appropriate solutions to resolve issues so that the projects can be implemented with quality, efficiency, and in accordance with legal regulations. Regarding the Than River Reservoir project, he emphasized that this is an extremely urgent project, and it is necessary to quickly arrange capital to complete the project in order to solve the problem of water storage, serve irrigation water for production and ensure the safety of the project during the rainy and flood season. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council agreed to the proposal to develop resolutions of the Legal Committee; requested the Legal Committee to continue to coordinate to complete the draft resolutions for the Provincial People's Council to submit at the mid-year meeting; noted solutions to balance resources so that after the resolutions are issued, they can quickly come into life to ensure high feasibility.
