After the talk show "Breathing contemporary soul into traditional lacquer" held in November 2023, the Hanoia brand had the opportunity to reunite with connoisseurs in general and tea enthusiasts in particular in an event called "Tea - Tet in the town of narcissus with Hanoia".
The event took place to honor the quintessence of Vietnamese tea art, as well as to contribute to bringing the public a more specific view of the art of celebrating Tet with a strong Vietnamese character. The event included a sharing session by tea artisan Nguyen Cao Son, who has accompanied and been associated with Hanoia since 2015, sharing about ancient San Tuyet tea and the art of making tea, enjoying the high-class teas that he introduced at the tea party between General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and General Secretary of China Xi Jinping, in the cozy space of the ancient house at 38 Hang Dao. From there, participants were conveyed the passion and motivation when pursuing these traditional values.
During the tea ceremony, guests also listened to artisan Pham Hong Phuong, an expert in the field of playing with daffodils and author of the book "Instructions for pruning and caring for daffodils" share how to trim daffodil bulbs so that the flowers bloom on Tet holiday. Daffodils are likened to "water fairies", with a proud and noble fragrance and color, symbolizing luck, vitality and the elegant beauty of spring.
Playing with narcissus flowers is a traditional cultural beauty of Hanoians every Tet holiday, showing an elegant lifestyle and a long-standing hobby. In addition, the space of "Tea - Tet with narcissus scent with Hanoia" also displays Hanoia's products typical for Tet, selected by customers. The event takes place from 14:00 - 16:00 on January 26, 2024 at 38 Hang Dao (Hanoi).
Previously, Hanoia organized the workshops “Lacquer art with Hanoia”, “Breathing contemporary soul into traditional lacquer”,... so that anyone who shares the same passion for Vietnamese handicrafts can participate and try their hand at the stages of lacquer crafting, as well as thoroughly understand the difficulties that artisans need to go through before creating standard lacquer creations.
