Health tourism products in Vietnam are lacking connectivity, so an online platform was born to connect service providers with travel agencies and tour guides to bring the best quality products to tourists.
Health tourism is becoming a new trend in Vietnam, bringing wonderful experiences combining relaxation and health care. Compared to other countries in the region, Vietnam also has many competitive advantages in medical tourism and health care tourism products.

Ms. Truong Thi Bich Ngoc, representative of We Fusion company, said that besides the outstanding natural resources, tourism, and cuisine, medical services in Vietnam have lower prices than in Asian countries, while medical facilities still meet international standards and have highly qualified human resources. Vietnam also has a long-standing and effective traditional medicine system, with many indigenous herbs that are good for health.
However, although health tourism is increasingly developing in the world, in Vietnam, this product is still limited, not diverse, and there are few health care service facilities with the scale and quality to welcome customers with high spending ability. The number of facilities recognized as health care service businesses that meet the standards for serving tourists and are granted a signboard is still limited. Most facilities are small in scale, have limited human resources, and technical facilities and services that only meet the basic needs of tourists.

To develop health tourism products in Vietnam, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Hong Long (Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities) said that connectivity plays a very important role, especially between service providers and travel companies.
"Health tourism has existed in Vietnam, but in reality there are few specialized tours, and they only stop at single experiences such as mineral baths, hot springs... Today's tourists have different needs for health care services, not only physical but also mental. The pace of life is too fast and urgent, many people have mental problems and they need to take care of themselves. Therefore, stakeholders need to connect with each other to build products, meeting the needs of healing and health care, both physical and mental, of people and tourists", said Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Hong Long.

At the seminar "Solutions to promote the development of health tourism" on June 11, the WE.VN tourism e-commerce platform was launched with the role of connecting travel agencies and tour guides with companies providing products for tourists, first of all, health care products of units providing traditional medicine solutions in Vietnam. Through this tourism e-commerce platform, travel agencies and tour guides can provide good quality products to tourists.
The seminar also witnessed the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation between partners in the field of health tourism, and the experience of the treatment area and practice of traditional medicine therapies of Sao Thai Duong Joint Stock Company.
