Prime Minister and his wife attend the Spring Homeland program in Poland

On the evening of January 17, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife attended the program "Spring Homeland At Ty 2025", celebrating Tet early with the Vietnamese community in Poland - an "unforgettable memory in life".


Also attending were Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen; leaders of ministries, departments, branches, and central agencies; and a large number of Vietnamese people in Poland. On the Polish side, there were Minister of Science and Higher Education Marcin Kulacek; Deputy Minister of National Defense; Deputy Minister of Digitalization; leaders of the City of Warsaw; leaders of the Poland-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group, and the Poland-Vietnam Friendship Association.

Very early, at the large hall of the Warsaw Presidental Hotel - where the program "Spring Homeland At Ty 2025" was held, Vietnamese people from all regions of Poland gathered to enjoy the atmosphere of Tet reunion, connect the community, as well as strengthen solidarity and friendship between the two countries and peoples of Vietnam and Poland.

In the bustling atmosphere of the coming of Tet and Spring, the Prime Minister and his wife raised their glasses to wish the Vietnamese community in Poland a Happy New Year and enjoyed a special cultural program performed by overseas Vietnamese in Poland and domestic artists.

The performances, which were composed and performed by the locals themselves, although not really professional, along with typical Vietnamese Tet dishes such as banh chung and gio lua, helped everyone enjoy the Vietnamese Tet atmosphere right in a foreign land.

This is a source of encouragement for the community of more than 25,000 Vietnamese people in Poland to continue to strive to improve, integrate into the local society, contribute to the development and prosperity of Poland, as well as foster the Vietnam - Poland relationship and look towards the homeland.

Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese in Poland, on behalf of the Vietnamese community in Poland, expressed his joy and honor to welcome the Prime Minister and his wife to attend and wish the community a Happy New Year.

Mr. Tuan said that the Vietnamese community in Poland is always proud to be Vietnamese, although far from home, they are always attached, united and preserve national identity. They are not only a cultural bridge between Vietnam and Poland, but also contribute to building the image of a united community, rich in identity and strongly integrated with the host society.

He affirmed that the Prime Minister's attention is a great motivation for all people to continue building a strong community, not only contributing to Poland, but also contributing to the development of Vietnam to become increasingly prosperous.

Reporting to the Prime Minister on the achievements in Vietnam - Poland relations in 2024, Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai emphasized that these achievements have significant contributions from the Vietnamese community in Poland, each of whom is always a strong bridge between the two peoples.

The Ambassador said that in 2025, the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland will continue to be a strong bridge between the community and the homeland, and together with the people, organize more meaningful activities, creating more favorable conditions for the people to integrate deeply into the host society, while preserving national identity, looking towards the homeland, accompanying the country towards a new era of development - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.

At the event, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to the Association of Vietnamese in Poland for its active contributions to building and developing the Vietnamese community abroad and activities towards the homeland and country.

Next, authorized by the Prime Minister, Minister and Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to Mr. Le Van Mung, a Polish expatriate, for his achievements in community work and towards his homeland and country.

In the bustling atmosphere of the last days of the Year of the Dragon, welcoming the New Year of the Snake 2025, speaking at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his emotions and thanked the people for giving him and the delegation an unforgettable memory in their lives - celebrating Tet early in the homeland of Frederick Chopin, Maria Curie, Nicolaus Copernicus.

Informing that the Prime Minister's working trip to Poland this time carries the message of celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Poland diplomatic relations, promoting the early elevation of the relationship between the two countries to a strategic level, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh informed the community of the main content of the results of the talks and meetings between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the President, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and President of the Senate of Poland.

In particular, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked and requested the Polish Government to continue to facilitate the Vietnamese community in Poland to integrate more deeply into the host society, actively contribute to the development of Poland as well as the traditional friendship between the two countries; soon recognize the Vietnamese community in Poland as a Polish ethnic minority, treated and have the same rights and obligations as other ethnic groups in Poland.

Acknowledging the growth and contributions of the Vietnamese community in Poland to the development of the host country and fostering the increasingly deep, substantial and effective Vietnam - Poland relationship, the Prime Minister hopes that the Vietnamese community in Poland will unite and be self-reliant, especially in times of difficulty and adversity such as the Covid-19 pandemic or conflicts in the heart of Europe; integrate more deeply, more widely, more comprehensively and more effectively into the host society and receive more affection from the Polish society and people; actively and effectively contribute to fostering the Vietnam - Poland relationship to be forever green and sustainable, for the benefit of the two nations, two countries and peoples, contributing to peace, friendship, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

The Prime Minister hopes that Polish friends will feel the affection that generations of Vietnamese people have for Poland, feel the warm, united and happy atmosphere of the traditional Vietnamese New Year, and continue to support and stand side by side with the Vietnamese community in Poland, joining hands to foster the friendship between the two countries and peoples.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh wished the Vietnamese community in Poland and Polish friends a happy, peaceful, prosperous, healthy and successful new year; and to share feelings and cultural understanding with each other so that the Vietnamese community can increasingly have a position and role in Polish society.
