(NLĐO) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held working meetings with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone in Ho Chi Minh City.
On February 22nd, on the occasion of attending the Meeting of the Three Heads of Parties of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos in Ho Chi Minh City, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held working meetings with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone to discuss the contents of the agreements in the Conclusion of the Meeting of the Three Heads of Parties.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh reviewed the achievements made in implementing the conclusions of the Vietnam-Laos, Vietnam-Cambodia, and Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia high-level meetings, as well as the visits of high-level leaders of the three countries in the past; and agreed that the assigned tasks have been basically completed well so far.
The three Prime Ministers expressed their pleasure that cooperation among the three countries has always been a priority for high-level leaders, ministries, and localities, and is making strong progress, contributing practically to consolidating and fostering the development of trilateral cooperation. The leaders emphasized the strategic importance of the close friendship, solidarity, and mutual trust among the three countries, and agreed to continue strengthening exchanges, training for youth and young leaders, and promoting widespread dissemination of information to all segments of the population, especially the younger generation, about the historical significance and value of the cooperative relationship between the three countries.
The three Prime Ministers affirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation and coordination among the three countries in ensuring national security, national construction and development; maintaining regular high-level meetings and contacts through all channels; increasing cooperation between localities, especially provinces sharing borders, and promoting people-to-people exchanges; effectively implementing cooperation mechanisms and agreements; and enhancing information sharing, perspectives, and cooperation among ministries and agencies.
The leaders agreed to continue strengthening security and defense cooperation, closely coordinating border security, and combating transnational crimes such as drug trafficking, human trafficking, and money laundering; upholding the principle of not allowing any individual or force to use the territory of one country to harm the security of the other, in order to jointly build a peaceful , friendly, stable, and prosperous border.
The three Prime Ministers also agreed to continue implementing policies and measures to further facilitate and encourage trade and investment, with a focus on border trade and developing the land border crossing system between the three countries; and to strengthen transportation infrastructure connectivity and economic linkages among the three countries.
The three Prime Ministers welcomed and agreed to establish a cooperation mechanism between the three Ministers of Culture and Tourism to unify the tourism cooperation plan among the three countries and implement the "One journey, three destinations" tourism model.
The leaders also exchanged views on regional issues of common concern; agreed to coordinate in maintaining ASEAN's unity and central role in regional affairs; and to promote cooperation in the Mekong sub-region.
