“Elon Musk is a threat to democracies,” Bayrou said in an interview on French television on Monday. “Money should not be a tool to dominate conscience.”

This comment was made in the context that Prime Minister Bayrou had previously warned that France and Europe needed to strongly confront President Trump and his policies, if they did not want to be "dominated, crushed and marginalized".
Billionaire Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and the world's richest man, has repeatedly expressed his views on international political issues. Specifically, he supported an anti-immigration party in Germany in the upcoming election in February.
