(TN&MT) - On December 22, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the inauguration ceremony of the project to rebuild the residential area of Lang Nu village (Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province). At the same time, the inauguration ceremony was held via online television in Nam Tong village, Nam Luc commune and Kho Vang village, Coc Lau commune (Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province).
Attending the inauguration ceremony were General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense. Also attending were leaders of central departments, ministries and branches.
On the Lao Cai side, the inauguration ceremony at the resettlement area of Lang Nu village was attended by Mr. Dang Xuan Phong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches, agencies and localities of Lao Cai province.
At the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his emotion when launching the house building campaign for victims of Typhoon Yagi in Lang Nu which received much support from ministries, departments, branches and charity funds.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged the support of agencies, units, charity funds, and Army Corps 12, which worked continuously for 68 days and nights, in 3 shifts and 4 crews, completing the project ahead of schedule as assigned by the Prime Minister on September 12. Army Corps 12 demonstrated the spirit of serving the people, further enhancing the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in socio-economic development, the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
Through the construction of resettlement areas in Lang Nu, Nam Tong, and Kho Vang, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that this event has demonstrated six very important meanings. The first is the spirit of national solidarity when facing difficulties and challenges, that spirit is always a solid foundation for people to overcome. The second is to demonstrate love between people, comradeship, compatriotism, and mutual love. The third meaning is to contribute to implementing the Party's guidelines, leaving no one behind. The fourth meaning is the determination of the Party committees, authorities, agencies and units, committed to implementing, said and done. The fifth meaning is to contribute to strengthening the people's trust in the Party and the State. The sixth meaning is that nothing is impossible, with the spirit of determination, we turn the impossible into the possible, turn the difficult into the easy with the spirit that "life arises from death".
At the same time, the Prime Minister directed to continue to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and especially to settle down and start a business, people must have jobs, and production and business must be promoted so that people have income.
The Prime Minister assigned the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee to study and design an investment plan for Lang Nu by December 2025. Accordingly, the Prime Minister suggested investing in a lake and dam in the resettlement area. From there, people can raise aquatic products on the lake more effectively and their livelihoods will be better.
Along with that, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to urgently submit to the Government a project to overcome and prevent natural disasters such as storms, floods and landslides in the North and Central regions, to help people feel more secure. That is according to the goal of more safety, security and public safety.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directed the People's Committee of Lao Cai province and localities to urgently reorganize and streamline the apparatus to bring a prosperous and happy life to the people, the spirit of the following year must be higher and better than the previous year. Lao Cai mobilized corporations and units to support and contribute to eliminating dilapidated houses, completing the elimination of 11,000 temporary and dilapidated houses before December 2025.
Finally, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the people must be able to settle down and work, the government must create livelihoods for the people, helping them have better incomes in the era of the country's rise, prosperity, civilization and modernity. On the threshold of the new year 2025, the Prime Minister wished all the people, compatriots, and delegates good health, happiness and success. Wishing the people to soon become model villages, happy villages.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dang Xuan Phong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that during the most dangerous time of natural disasters and floods, Lao Cai province received timely support from Party and State leaders, and the concern and sharing of people across the country, so that today, people in flood-hit areas are recovering strongly, and people can welcome the new year in spacious houses.
The image of the highest leaders of the Central Government, the Prime Minister directly directing, officers, soldiers of the army, police and other forces wading in floodwaters to search for missing people, helping people overcome the consequences of natural disasters will forever be engraved in the hearts of the people of Lao Cai.
At the inauguration ceremony, Bao Yen District People's Committee awarded 33 Land Use Right Certificates to households in Lang Nu village.
At the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented 150 houses to poor households living in temporary or dilapidated houses, along with 200 bicycles, 200 Tet gifts and 200 sets of warm clothes to children in Lao Cai province.
At the end of the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the resettlement areas of Lang Nu, Nam Tong, and Kho Vang.
