Kinhtedothi - On the morning of January 14, at the headquarters of the Hanoi Party Committee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh - Chairman of the Red River Delta Coordination Council chaired the 5th Conference of the Red River Delta Coordination Council.
With the theme "Double-digit growth, the Red River Delta pioneers in entering a new era", the Conference aims to summarize the activities of 2024 and deploy the tasks of 2025 of the Council.
Attending the conference were: Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Council; Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi - Vice Chairman of the Council; leaders of central ministries and branches; Secretaries and Chairmen of People's Committees of 11 provinces and cities in the Red River Delta: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam and Ninh Binh.

Since its establishment, the Red River Delta Regional Coordination Council has held four meetings. The first session announced the establishment and agreed on the key tasks of the Regional Coordination Council; the second session focused on giving comments on the regional planning; the third session implemented the Red River Delta Regional Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050; the fourth session deployed the 2024 tasks of the Regional Council, the implementation status of some key projects of the region, and gave comments on the Review Report on specific mechanisms and policies of economic regions (including the Red River Delta).
The 5th Conference is an important occasion for ministries, branches, provinces and cities in the Red River Delta region to jointly review the results of implementing the goals and targets of the socio-economic development plan for 2024; the results of implementing assigned tasks and projects in 2024; the expected action plan of the Regional Council for 2025 and promptly recognize the difficulties, challenges and obstacles in the coming time, and jointly determine directions and solutions to accelerate and make a breakthrough in completing the socio-economic development targets of 2025 and the entire term.
The conference focused on assessing the results and socio-economic situation in 2024; proposing and advising solutions to implement socio-economic development tasks in 2025, especially solutions to effectively implement the "double-digit" growth task in the coming years.
At the same time, report on the implementation of key infrastructure projects, dynamic projects, inter-regional traffic connection projects in the Red River Delta; especially propose solutions to remove obstacles and difficulties in implementing key programs and projects.
Also at the conference, the organizing agencies announced the Hanoi Capital Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 and the Adjustment of the Hanoi Capital Master Plan to 2045, with a vision to 2065 - an important task completed in 2024 by Hanoi to specify the goals and tasks of developing Hanoi Capital.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the Red River Delta must grow by double digits to join the whole country in entering a new era, an era of striving to develop the country into a rich, civilized and prosperous one, as directed by General Secretary To Lam.
"If the Red River Delta cannot grow by double digits, which region can grow?", the Prime Minister asked and asked delegates to focus on discussing solutions to achieve double digit growth with the spirit of "The Party directs, the Government is unified, the National Assembly agrees, the people support, the Fatherland expects, then only discuss action, not retreat".
“We have a plan, so we must follow the plan, especially exploiting new spaces such as outer space, underground space, etc. to serve the country's development,” Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized.
In addition, the Prime Minister also informed that this Conference will also announce the Hanoi Capital Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 and the Adjustment of the Hanoi Capital Master Plan to 2045, with a vision to 2065. Thus, after a period of time, especially during the Covid-19 years, the whole country has completed 111/111 plans, which is a great effort of local Party committees, authorities, ministries and branches; emphasizing that once there is a plan, it must be done correctly, the plan must be kept stable; it is necessary to plan to exploit outer space, underground space, and marine space to serve the country's development...
