Kinhtedothi - On the morning of January 10, the Hanoi Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee met with representatives of central and Hanoi press agencies on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh and Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong chaired the meeting.

Attending the meeting were Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Doan Toan; Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Qui Tien, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ha Minh Hai.

After watching the report reviewing the outstanding results of Hanoi in 2024, delegates from press agencies spoke and gave comments to the city's leaders. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang shared that every year Hanoi has many outstanding achievements. Accordingly, in 2024 Hanoi will be particularly prominent in the fields of digital transformation, innovation, culture, etc. Hanoi is one of the leading localities in developing the cultural industry.

Congratulating the proud achievements of Hanoi in 2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang said that for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hanoi is the place where the most important foreign affairs events will take place in 2024 with 24 high-ranking delegations coming to Hanoi. All activities took place safely and respectfully, strongly spreading the prestige of Vietnam and the Capital and showing that Hanoi is a friendly and hospitable Capital.

Emphasizing that in 2025, many foreign affairs activities will take place in the capital, especially many international events with the participation of many high-ranking leaders, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang hopes that in the coming time, Hanoi City and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to pay attention and coordinate closely to successfully organize these events.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine Nguyen Ngoc Ha expressed his gratitude to Hanoi City for accompanying the press agencies in their activities. Thereby, contributing to effectively propagating the direction and management of the City.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha said that in the process of accompanying the Capital, the press agencies also identified this as a responsibility, mission and pride to contribute to the development of the Capital. In the coming time, the press agencies will continue to accompany the development of the Capital. At the same time, he hoped that the City would have more updated channels with orientations on propaganda activities about major events and movements. Sharing the joy of Hanoi's development, former Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Ho Quang Loi said that Hanoi has really made strong impressions on economic development when for the first time the budget revenue exceeded 500,000 billion VND. Hanoi has really made a great contribution, worthy of being one of the two development locomotives of the whole country.

In 2024, continuing to implement Resolution No. 15-NQ/TW of the Politburo "on the direction and tasks of developing Hanoi Capital to 2030, with a vision to 2045", the City has coordinated to submit for promulgation the Capital Law (amended); develop and submit to the Prime Minister for approval the Capital Planning and Adjustment of the Capital Master Plan... These are really important documents, creating conditions for Hanoi to develop and showing the development stature of the Capital in the future. At the same time, Hanoi also has a very strong shift in infrastructure. In the coming time, Hanoi will continue to accelerate the progress of implementing very large projects such as Ring Road 4 - Capital Region, urban railway lines...; when the projects are completed, Hanoi will have a very large development stature, creating hope for the development of the Capital in the future.

Mr. Ho Quang Loi also expressed his impression that although Hanoi focuses on economic development, it always pays attention to cultural development, building elegant and civilized Hanoians, and developing cultural industries to be worthy of being a global creative city.

Emphasizing that 2025 is a special year for the whole country and for Hanoi when the streamlining of the apparatus begins, Mr. Ho Quang Loi believes that this process of streamlining the apparatus in the whole country and Hanoi will be done well, with plans and policies that care about people.

Thereby, contributing significantly to propaganda, creating consensus, raising awareness, consciousness and responsibility of authorities at all levels and people in carrying out the city's political tasks" - the Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized.

Emphasizing that in 2025, the city's work will have many new and difficult tasks, the Chairman of the City People's Committee said that the city will be more proactive, responsible and clear about people and tasks to promptly inform the press agencies of major policies and guidelines to propagate and accompany the city. In particular, he hopes that the press agencies will actively participate in coordinating with the city government in implementing environmental protection measures. From there, together we will join hands to make the capital increasingly "bright, green, clean, beautiful"; each citizen will become the embodiment of the civilization and elegance of Hanoians.
