Prime Minister appoints Deputy Minister of Home Affairs

On May 30, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 467/QD-TTg on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Truong Hai Long, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, with a term of appointment of 5 years.

Before being transferred to the locality, Mr. Truong Hai Long held the position of Deputy Minister of Home Affairs from June 24, 2021; he had worked for a long time at the Ministry of Home Affairs and held the positions of Deputy Director and Director of the Department of Civil Servants and Public Employees.

Mr. Truong Hai Long was born in 1976; hometown is Yen Trung commune, Yen Phong district, Bac Ninh province. Professional qualifications: Master of Law, Senior political theory, Senior State management expert.

In September 2022, Mr. Truong Hai Long was decided by the Secretariat to mobilize and appoint him to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and to be introduced by the Provincial People's Council to elect him as Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

On September 19, 2022, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council held the 7th session of the 12th term to elect Mr. Truong Hai Long to hold the position of Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
