1. Procedures for exchanging B2 driver's license directly
1.1. Application for direct exchange of B2 driver's license
Documents to exchange for B2 license (B2 driver's license) include:
- Application for changing driving license according to the form prescribed in Appendix 19 issued with this Circular;
- Driver's health certificate issued by a competent medical facility as prescribed.
- Copy of driver's license, identity card or citizen identification card or valid passport with the identity card number or citizen identification card number (for Vietnamese) or valid passport (for foreigners, Vietnamese people residing abroad).

1.2. Procedure for exchanging B2 driver's license directly
- Individuals prepare 01 set of documents according to section 1, send directly or via the online public service system to the Vietnam Road Administration or the Department of Transport that issued the B2 license.
- In case of direct application submission, the driver must take a photo directly at the driving license issuing agency when coming to carry out the driving license exchange procedure and must present the original documents and submit copies for comparison.
- In case of submitting documents via the online public service system, individuals must declare according to the instructions and be responsible for the accuracy and legality of the declared content; when receiving a driver's license, the old driver's license must be returned for filing.
- The return of the driving license is done at the agency receiving the application or through the public postal service at the request of the individual; in case of submitting the application through the online public service system, the driving license is returned to the correct individual exchanging the driving license.

2. Procedures for changing B2 driver's license online
- Step 1: Access the Vietnam Road Administration's electronic information portal at https://dichvucong.gplx.gov.vn/faces/registration/home.xhtml
- Step 2: Select the processing agency and receiving location. Then select online registration.

- Step 3: Fill in all information marked with (*)

- Step 4: Upload documents as required
 |
- Step 5: Choose the date and time to come directly to the agency to register for online driver's license exchange. Finally, select "Register".

3. Fee for changing driver's license class B2
- Fee for changing to B2 license (class B2 driver's license) when applying directly: 135,000 VND.
- In particular, the fee for changing to B2 license (class B2 driver's license) when submitting an online application from December 1, 2023 to December 31, 2025: VND 115,000/issuance.

4. What vehicles can be driven with a B2 driver's license?
Class B2 driving license is issued to professional drivers to drive the following types of vehicles:
- Specialized vehicles with a design load of less than 3,500 kg;
- Types of vehicles specified for class B1 driving license, including:
+ Passenger cars with up to 9 seats, including the driver's seat;
+ Trucks, including specialized trucks with a design load capacity of less than 3,500 kg;
+ Tractor pulling a trailer with a design load of less than 3,500 kg.
