(Dan Tri) - On the first day of issuing and exchanging driver's licenses in wards, communes and towns, people in Ho Chi Minh City were excited because the application procedures were quick and convenient.
On March 17, Ho Chi Minh City Police officially started issuing and exchanging driver's licenses at police headquarters in 17 wards of districts, Thu Duc City and 5 central communes and towns of Binh Chanh, Can Gio, Cu Chi, Hoc Mon, and Nha Be districts.
According to the reporter, in the afternoon of the same day, many people came to the Binh Tho Ward Police Station (Thu Duc City) to complete procedures for issuing and exchanging driver's licenses. To avoid overloading and jostling, the local police proactively arranged a waiting area, a counter to receive documents, a photo room, and a fee payment area.

Present at the driver's license issuance and renewal point in Binh Tho ward, Mr. Phan Van Giang (residing in Hiep Binh Chanh ward) said that after receiving information that there were 22 more driver's license issuance and renewal points, he went to the ward police headquarters to complete the procedures.
"Previously, if I needed to apply for or change my driver's license, I had to go all the way to District 3, but now I can do it all by going to the ward police station. The process at the ward is very quick, from the time I declare information to receiving the appointment letter, it only takes about 15 minutes. In addition, people can pay the fee by bank transfer, which helps save time," said Mr. Giang.
