TPO - On the morning of February 14, Nghe An province simultaneously held military handover and reception ceremonies in 20 districts, cities and towns, sending off the best sons of their homeland to carry out the task of building and protecting the Fatherland. This year, Nghe An has more than 3,200 citizens joining the army. Of these, there are 4 female citizens; 49 party members; 945 citizens registered to volunteer to join the army (reaching a rate of 30%); 1,105 citizens have attended the Party training course; 210 people have university, college, and intermediate degrees; 813 ethnic minority youths and 237 religious youths.

Vinh city alone has 219 citizens enlisted in the army. Of these, 86 young people wrote volunteer applications, 1 party member and 65 young people participated in fostering Party sympathy, 8 young people are Catholics.

New recruit Vu Duc Trong (born in 2005, residing in Nghi Phu ward, Vinh city) said that he is proud to represent thousands of heroic young people of the "Red City" to join the army. "I feel very honored and proud to join the army this time. The military environment is a great school that helps young people train, strive and mature," said new recruit Trong.
