On May 22, the Drug Administration of Vietnam, Ministry of Health, announced the suspension of circulation and nationwide recall of two batches of products, gammaphil - 125ml bottles, produced by the cosmetic chemical manufacturing enterprise GAMMA based in Ho Chi Minh City, responsible for bringing them to the market.
Vaseline rose wax and Vaseline coconut oil products (15g box), produced by Athena Vietnam Production & Trading Company Limited (headquartered in Phu Tho), and brought to market by Hung Viet Investment & Trading Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Hanoi).
According to the Drug Administration, the product Gammaphil - 125ml bottle was recalled because the test sample did not meet quality standards. The product contains the preservatives Methyl paraben and Propyl paraben that are not listed on the cosmetic product declaration form.

Vaseline Rose Wax and Vaseline Coconut Oil (15g box) products are recalled because they do not meet the product labeling regulations of the Ministry of Health.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests the Department of Health of 63 provinces and centrally-run cities to notify businesses and cosmetic users in the area to stop selling and using Gammaphil products - 125ml bottle, Vaseline rose wax and Vaseline coconut oil (15g box), and return them to the product suppliers.
The units responsible for recalling the above-mentioned violating products, inspecting and supervising the units implementing this notice, and handling violations according to current regulations.

GAMMA Pharmaceutical and Cosmetics Manufacturing Company, Hung Viet Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company and Athena Production and Trading Company Limited, sent recall notices to the places that distributed and used their products. At the same time, the company received returned products from business establishments, recalled all products that did not meet regulations, and sent a report to the Department of Drug Administration before June 20.
The Drug Administration of the Ministry of Health requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, the Hanoi Department of Health, and the Phu Tho Provincial Department of Health to supervise the company in recalling the two batches of products that do not meet the above regulations, and report the results to the Drug Administration before July 5.
