Lam Dong The Prenn Pass expansion project with a total investment of 552 billion VND at the gateway to Da Lat City has reached more than 70% of the volume and is expected to open to traffic on December 28.
The information was announced by Mr. Ngo Van Ninh, spokesman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, at a press briefing on November 6. "This year's heavy rain has significantly affected the project's progress," Mr. Ninh said.
Prenn Pass connects National Highway 20 - the main road from the Southeast region to Da Lat, which is often crowded and overloaded on weekends, holidays and Tet. In February this year, the 7.4 km long road through the pass was doubled in width to 4 lanes, with a design speed of 60 km/h.
