Communiqué No. 21, 7th Session, 15th National Assembly

In the morning , under the direction of Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the draft Law on Trade Unions (amended).

At the discussion session, 31 National Assembly delegates expressed their opinions, including 5 opinions that National Assembly delegates debated.

Delegates basically agreed on the need to amend the Trade Union Law to overcome some limitations and shortcomings of the Trade Union Law, meeting the activities of Trade Union organizations in the new period.

In addition, delegates focused on discussing the following contents: Scope of amendments; structure of the draft law; legal status of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; interpretation of terms; rights to establish, join and operate trade unions; organizational system of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; representation, care and protection of the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers; responsibilities and powers of grassroots trade unions; inspection, examination, supervision and social criticism of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; development of union members, grassroots trade unions, and grassroots trade unions; ensuring organization and staff; ensuring conditions for trade union activities; ensuring trade union officials; issues of management and use of trade union finances; inspection, examination, auditing and supervision of trade union finances, etc.

At the end of the discussion, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang spoke to explain and clarify a number of issues raised by National Assembly deputies.

In the afternoon , under the direction of Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, the National Assembly held a plenary session in the hall, listening to the following contents: Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the Report on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Pharmacy; Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee on Social Affairs Nguyen Thuy Anh presented the Report on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Pharmacy; Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the Report on the draft Law on Cultural Heritage (amended); Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education Nguyen Dac Vinh presented the Report on the draft Law on Cultural Heritage (amended).

Then, the National Assembly discussed in groups: Draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Pharmacy; Draft Law on Cultural Heritage (amended).

On Wednesday, June 19, 2024 , in the morning , the National Assembly held a plenary session in the hall to listen to the Presentation and the Report on the examination of the draft Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue; then, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the investment policy of the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the period 2025-2035.

In the afternoon , the National Assembly held a plenary session in the hall, listening to: The presentation and the report on the examination of the draft Law on People's Air Defense; The presentation and the report on the draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Land Law No. 31/2024/QH15, the Housing Law No. 27/2023/QH15, the Real Estate Business Law No. 29/2023/QH15, the Law on Credit Institutions No. 32/2024/QH15; then, the National Assembly discussed in groups the draft Law on Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue, and the draft Law on People's Air Defense.
