Opening of Advanced Political Theory Training Classes for the 2024-2025 school year

On the morning of April 15, in Hanoi, the National Defense Academy held the opening ceremony of the 7th and 1st advanced political theory training courses (3 semesters) for the 2024-2025 academic year. Senior Lieutenant General Tran Viet Khoa, member of the Party Central Committee and Director of the National Defense Academy attended the ceremony.

The course provides systematic knowledge of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought; new viewpoints, guidelines and policies of the Party and State in the fields of economics, politics, culture-society, national defense, security, foreign affairs, international integration; new theoretical and practical issues in the country and in the world; skills to apply theory to practice, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of management, command and operation of cadres in the armed forces.

The course program includes very important and practical contents to help students improve their worldview, methodology, thinking; political mettle, ethics, lifestyle, level of awareness, capacity to advise and organize the implementation of tasks; especially in assessing the situation, solving well the theoretical and practical issues arising in each field, specific content to advise local Party committees, authorities and agencies, units to well perform the task of strengthening national defense and security associated with socio-economic development...

On that basis, it contributes to building a strong national defense, ensuring that the country is always proactive in strategy, maintaining independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and a peaceful and stable environment to build and develop the country quickly and sustainably in the new era, the era of national growth.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Viet Khoa, Director of the National Defense Academy, emphasized that with the spirit of teaching in a positive direction, focusing on learners, training students' capacity and thinking; implementing the motto of the Central Military Commission "The quality of training of the school is the combat readiness of the unit" and the policy of the Party Committee of the Academy "The quality of training of the National Defense Academy is the ability to lead, organize, command, be ready to fight and fight victoriously of the Army", therefore, the quality of training and scientific research of the Academy is constantly improved, meeting the increasingly high requirements in training and fostering senior officials of the Party, State and armed forces.

To successfully complete the objectives and requirements of the course, the Director of the National Defense Academy requested that the staff and lecturers in the Academy must be active, proactive, creative and innovative in training and education according to active teaching methods, and have tests and assessments that are true to the substance.

In addition, the lectures must clarify and concretize new issues in the Resolutions of the Central Executive Committee in line with the reality of the country and the army in the process of streamlining the organization of the political system, ensuring profound theory, rich practicality, updating new information and having scientific orientation and forecasting.
