Besides, there are also products in the more expensive segment, such as Bibica's premium product set priced at 765,000 VND including many types of cookies and candies with colorful designs with the flavor of Tet, especially with the addition of a candy box product shaped like a gold bar with the meaning of wishing for luck on the first day of the new year.
Employees at the Hanoi Confectionery Joint Stock Company store on Ba Trieu Street said that the company's Tet gift packages this year are more diverse, with eye-catching designs and cheaper prices than many grocery stores and large supermarkets. The number of customers coming to the store to shop is quite large, mainly the elderly who love the traditional taste of Tet jam. The company also offers gift baskets priced from 386,000 to over 800,000 VND/gift set.

A survey by reporters at several large supermarkets in Hoan Kiem and Hai Ba Trung districts (Hanoi) showed that the number of customers looking to buy confectionery and drinks to prepare for Tet was quite large, and the number of customers going to supermarkets during break time increased significantly compared to last week. To boost purchasing power, many brands have coordinated with retailers to reduce prices by 15-30%; in which, some major brands in the bakery industry such as Mondelez Kinh Do, Orion, Bibica... have agreed to join the price reduction race. For example, Mondelez Kinh Do reduced up to 30,000 VND for traditional biscuits (to 241,000 VND/box), Cosy biscuits reduced from 170,000 VND to 165,000 VND/box...

Many confectionery, beer, soft drink businesses... are preparing to increase the amount of Tet goods by 10 - 15% compared to the same period last year. To stimulate demand, many brands have coordinated with retailers to reduce prices by 10 - 20% such as: Hanoi Confectionery Company, for every purchase of an invoice worth 400,000 VND, will receive a promotion of a package of pork rolls, or a 3 - 5% discount depending on each order; Tet gift baskets sold in supermarkets are being discounted from a few tens of thousands of VND to more than 100,000 VND/basket depending on the value...
Lotte Mart predicts that people's demand for Tet shopping this year will increase by about 20%, focusing on essential items. Tet gift baskets will be discounted up to 15% and further discounts for large orders.
According to many businesses, the large and diverse discounts at this time are mainly to boost customers' psychology and increase purchasing power. Mr. Nguyen Van Hop, owner of a business on Hang Buom Street, said that although it is not yet the peak season, we have to proactively launch the Tet program early to have the opportunity to increase revenue. The market for confectionery consumption this year is slower than last year, so this year's prices are very competitive.
