- Direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training;

- Admission based on high school graduation exam results;

- Admission is based on high school academic results (transcripts);

- Admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hanoi University of Education, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education;

- Admission is based on the results of the separate entrance exam organized by Hanoi National University of Education 2;

- Specialized pedagogical training majors such as Preschool Education, Physical Education, and Sports Management use the above methods, but in the admission combinations, the results of aptitude tests organized by the school are used (aptitude test results organized by other higher education institutions are not used).

Thus, from 2025, Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 will organize a separate exam for university admission.

Speaking to VietNamNet , a school representative said the school is in the process of developing and finalizing a plan to organize this exam. However, it will be a competency-based exam.
