Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested all levels and sectors to change their thinking, awareness and actions to produce products and promote the cultural industry to develop to its full potential.

On the morning of December 22, the Government held a national conference on developing Vietnam's cultural industries.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung chaired the conference.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province Bui Xuan Thap chaired at the Ha Tinh bridge. Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Tran Nhat Tan, leaders of departments, branches and sectors attended.

The report at the conference showed that in the period of 2018 - 2022, ministries, branches and localities have promptly directed and approved plans, projects and planning related to the development of 12 cultural industries. The awareness of the whole society about the role and importance of cultural industries has been gradually improved.

Some businesses, organizations and individuals have invested and seized the opportunity to develop cultural industrial products and services for business, bringing certain economic, cultural and social benefits.

The production value of cultural industries in the period of 2018 - 2022 is estimated to contribute an average of 1,059 million billion VND. The growth rate in the number of economic establishments operating in the cultural industry is estimated at 7.2%/year; the labor force in the cultural industry is increasing rapidly. Cultural industries have the potential to develop rapidly, long-term, sustainably, and have the value of honoring culture, national identity, and positioning the national brand in the international arena.

The conference also analyzed the shortcomings and limitations in the development of the cultural industry and proposed a general development direction in the coming time. Accordingly, by 2030, cultural industries will be developed based on creativity, science and technology and protection of intellectual property rights. Development will be focused, key, and have a roadmap towards professionalism and modernity, promoting Vietnam's advantages. Developing cultural industries is closely linked to promoting the image of the country and Vietnamese people, contributing to protecting and promoting national cultural identity in the process of international exchange, integration and cooperation.

In recent times, Ha Tinh has always paid attention to implementing the Strategy for developing cultural industries in the province according to Decision No. 1755/QD-TTg dated September 8, 2016 of the Prime Minister. The province has issued a number of institutions, mechanisms, policies and directives related to the development of cultural industries such as: Plan No. 338/KH-UBND dated October 10, 2018 of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing the Strategy for developing cultural industries to 2020, with a vision to 2030 in Ha Tinh province;

Decision No. 2047/QD-UBND dated July 30, 2020 of the Provincial People's Committee on promulgating the Regulations for the 7th Literature and Arts Awards; Regulations for selecting the 7th Nguyen Du Awards (2015-2020); Plan No. 452/KH-UBND dated November 30, 2021 of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing the foreign cultural strategy in Ha Tinh province until 2026, with a vision to 2030; Resolution No. 98/2022/NQ-HDND dated December 16, 2022 of the Provincial People's Council Stipulating a number of policies for developing culture, sports and tourism in Ha Tinh for the period 2023-2025...

Concluding the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and accepted the enthusiastic and responsible discussion opinions of the delegates; commended the contributions of cultural industries to GDP growth, job creation and promotion of the image of the country and people of Vietnam.

The Prime Minister suggested that after the conference, all sectors and levels must have a change in awareness, thinking and action regarding the cultural industry to produce effective products that are worthy of its potential and advantages. Closely follow the Party's guidelines, policies and guidelines and the State's laws to develop the cultural industry; continue to perfect institutions, mechanisms and policies, especially the role and responsibility of state management at all levels and sectors; review and promote the perfection of institutions, mechanisms and policies to encourage and give incentives on capital, land, taxes, etc. to promote the development of the cultural industry.

Promote administrative procedure reform, especially reviewing and advising on the abolition of inappropriate regulations that hinder the development of the cultural industry; promote and raise awareness of the development of the cultural industry; promote human resource development, especially human resources in cultural industry management; perfect policies to encourage and support talents in the fields of culture and arts; enhance innovation and application of science and technology in the development of the cultural industry; focus on attracting and supporting investment in the field of cultural industry; promote market development, expand international exchanges and cooperation, and promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam.
