Change in details of pension and benefit payment schedule for April

Vietnam Social Security has just sent an official dispatch to Social Security agencies of provinces and cities regarding the payment of monthly pensions and social insurance benefits to beneficiaries in April 2025.

Pay pension to beneficiaries.

In order to ensure timely and uninterrupted payment of pensions and monthly social insurance benefits to beneficiaries in the April payment period, Vietnam Social Security guides social insurance agencies in provinces and cities to pay pensions and monthly social insurance benefits to beneficiaries as follows:

For 10 regional social insurance agencies operating under the new organizational structure, from January to April, the provincial social insurance agency will make a payment list, be responsible for the accuracy of the data, and complete before April 1.

Based on the payment list established by the provincial Social Insurance, the regional Social Insurance checks, compares and creates, signs the payment order from the payment deposit account opened at the head office of the regional Social Insurance to pay pensions and social insurance allowances to beneficiaries under the legal entity of the regional Social Insurance. Create, control, and approve electronic payment orders (digitally signed) according to the legal information of the account holder, chief accountant, and digital signature according to the new organizational structure on April 1.

Payment will be made on the second working day of the month, which is April 2. In case the change of legal information on seal, account holder, chief accountant, and digital signature according to the new organizational structure has not been completed before March 28, promptly report to Vietnam Social Security for instructions on handling.

For 25 regional social insurance agencies operating under the new organizational structure from June 1, monthly pension and social insurance allowance payments will be transferred to personal accounts (ATM cards) for beneficiaries on April 1.

Social Insurance Region I (Hanoi) will pay pensions and social insurance benefits through personal accounts to beneficiaries on April 2.

Social Insurance Region 1 has prepared more than 4,025 billion VND to pay pensions and allowances to 595,085 people.

Of which, 99.04% of payments via personal accounts will be made on April 2. In addition, nearly 7,000 cash recipients will be paid by this agency in coordination with the Post Office after April 2.

Meanwhile, Social Insurance Region XI (Bac Ninh, Bac Giang) announced that the schedule for paying pensions and social insurance benefits to beneficiaries in the area will be transferred directly to accounts on April 2.

For those who have not registered to receive via account, the Post Office will pay in cash, from April 7 to 9 at payment points.

Previously, Vietnam Social Security informed about the time to perform functions and tasks according to the new organizational structure in the entire Vietnam Social Security system according to Decision No. 391/QD-BTC.

According to the new organizational structure, from March 1, Vietnam Social Security will be transferred to the Ministry of Finance, organized from the central to local levels according to a 3-level system.

Regional Social Insurance (equivalent to provincial level) is organized in 35 regions, has legal status, its own seal and account. The number of district-level Social Insurance units is not more than 350, but does not have an internal apparatus.
