The Ministry of Home Affairs requires full implementation of all policies for people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs.

The document clearly stated that, in order to better care for the material and spiritual life of people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs, the Ministry of Home Affairs requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and cities to pay attention to directing competent agencies to step up propaganda to promote the tradition of patriotism and the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" among all classes of people, especially the young generation, making everyone deeply aware and respectfully grateful for the great contributions of heroic martyrs and those who have contributed to the country, for the cause of national liberation and national reunification.

The Ministry of Home Affairs proposed to continue reviewing policy beneficiaries of meritorious people in disadvantaged areas that need support, especially families of meritorious people living in areas affected by natural disasters, floods, saltwater intrusion, remote areas, ethnic minorities, border areas, and islands to have timely support plans.

Localities fully and promptly implement all policies for people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs. Prioritize and promptly allocate funds in the assigned state budget estimates to ensure timely implementation of preferential policies, and have practical solutions to mobilize social resources to care for people with revolutionary contributions.

In addition, the Ministry of Home Affairs suggested that it is necessary to discover and replicate typical and advanced collectives and individuals in the work of war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services; thereby promoting the movements of "Repaying gratitude", "All people taking care of people with meritorious services to the country" to develop widely, go into depth and bring practical results; at the same time, praising typical examples of war invalids, sick soldiers and people with meritorious services.

The Ministry of Home Affairs also requested to pay attention to the renovation and embellishment of works honoring martyrs (martyr cemeteries, martyr memorials, martyr temples, martyr steles); organize incense offering and candle lighting ceremonies to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at historical sites, works honoring martyrs and martyr cemeteries in a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day in localities.
