Thanh Tuan, Minh Vuong and strange coincidences

Thanh Tuan was from Quang Ngai who drifted to Saigon, and Minh Vuong was from Long An. However, the two talented actors of the reformed opera village had strange coincidences.

Minh Vuong and Thanh Tuan were both born in 1950. At the age of 13 and 14, they were classmates studying traditional singing with teacher Bay Trach. And both were excellent students who were loved by the teacher.

When they grew up, they worked together in the Kim Chung 2 troupe, singing lead with My Chau, Thanh Kim Hue...

After 1975, although they no longer sang in the same troupe, Minh Vuong and Thanh Tuan continued to have the fate to work together.

Both men were awarded Meritorious Artists in the same year, but were both denied the title of People's Artist, causing public outcry. Later, they were awarded the title together with artist Giang Chau.

Not only that, these two friends are also judges in prestigious cai luong competitions such as Bong lua vang, Chuong vang vong co ...

Compared to male artists of the same generation, Minh Vuong and Thanh Tuan are considered two persistent artists who continue to work and contribute to the profession to this day.

When free, the two men still meet up for coffee and drinks with old members of the Kim Chung troupe.

Thanh Tuan laughed and said that the reason he and Minh Vuong are close and "compatible" until today is because: "I appreciate Minh Vuong's talent. He is gentle and gets along well with friends, so naturally we have been close since our teenage years until now as old friends."
