Young people gather together to do business
Established since 2022, the Ea Po Commune Economic Development Youth Club has been operating effectively, helping local union members and youth to exchange, learn, and start businesses together. By joining the club, members are supported with practical and timely resources to develop the economy.
After completing his military service, Vi Van Chien, Thanh Tam village, Ea Po commune, returned to his hometown to start a business. As a dynamic young man, Chien opened a car wash shop to develop the economy and start a business. Joining the Ea Po commune Economic Development Youth Club and receiving a loan of 45 million VND, Chien invested in purchasing additional equipment such as high-pressure car washers and specialized cleaning tools to develop car wash services.
In addition, Mr. Chien also distributes paint and develops cleaning and house cleaning services. Currently, Mr. Chien's business model has developed effectively, meeting the practical needs of local people, creating stable jobs for 4 local youths and many hourly workers.
Mr. Vi Van Chien said: "From the loan capital of the Club, I have the conditions to invest and develop my own economy. Joining the Club, I myself have learned and been supported a lot. I hope that the Club will develop more and more so that young people have a place to exchange, meet, and encourage each other to do business."
Wishing to start a business in his homeland, Mr. Tran Van Duc, Thanh Nam village, Ea Po commune, has researched and developed a goat farming model. With his own capital and support from his family, Mr. Duc invested 70 million VND to build a barn and buy 10 breeding goats to start a business. The young man has participated in learning about farming experience from books and newspapers and has visited and learned from other farming households.
When the locality had a policy to establish a Youth Club for Economic Development, Mr. Duc registered to participate and was one of the first members of the Club. Here, Mr. Duc was supported with a loan of 50 million VND to invest and expand livestock farming. To date, Mr. Duc has developed a goat herd with 300m² of barn area and more than 100 goats for business.
Mr. Tran Van Duc shared, seeing that the goat raising model has potential for economic development, I invested in barns and expanded the breed to raise goats. Because of limited capital, I borrowed from relatives and borrowed 50 million VND from the Youth Club for Economic Development of the Commune to expand the model. When I joined the Club, I was very happy because I could meet and learn from young people and have a revolving loan source for economic development.
Many meaningful activities
With the goal of gathering like-minded youths with a passion for doing business and getting rich in their homeland, the Ea Po Commune Economic Development Youth Club has attracted a large number of young people to participate. From 10 initial members, the club now has 37 members participating in its activities.
The highlight of the Club is the mobilization and management of support funds for members to implement economic models of entrepreneurship and start-ups. Accordingly, each member contributes 1.5 million VND/person/month to raise funds for the Club. This fund will be considered by the Club, providing revolving loans to members with a loan amount of 10 - 50 million VND within 3 years with an interest rate of 0.65%/month. From the loan capital, local youth have been supported to develop the economy with many diverse and effective models of cultivation, livestock, and services such as: raising goats, raising pigs, planting agricultural crops, sanitation services, etc.
Each member who receives loan support must have a specific goal and purpose for using the loan. The Club will monitor, follow up and support members when they encounter difficulties in the process of developing the model.
In addition to capital support, members can visit and learn from each other's experiences in economic development; develop business and startup ideas suitable to their own resources and local advantages.
With the characteristics of a remote commune, many young people in Ea Po commune, after finishing high school, did not go to big cities to work and chose to stay and develop the economy right in the locality. Ms. Ha Thi Mai, Secretary of the Ea Po commune Youth Union, said that the Ea Po commune Economic Development Youth Club has implemented a capital contribution model so that members can borrow in rotation, creating a vibrant movement of emulation in labor, production, start-up and career establishment among young people. This is a model of exchange, activities, and voluntary capital contribution to help each other develop the economy of local youth, thereby contributing to improving the lives of young people and effectively developing the family and local economy.
According to Ms. Le Thi Duy Linh, Secretary of the Cu Jut District Youth Union, the Ea Po Commune Economic Development Youth Club is one of the effective models, contributing to supporting young people to start and establish their own businesses with their own internal strength. From the effectiveness of the model, other commune unions in the district have learned and applied it, becoming a place to gather local young people with the aspiration to become rich in their homeland.
"The Cu Jut District Youth Union has promoted capital support for young people, organized training activities, and connected product consumption for young people such as the livestream program connecting agricultural product consumption on the unit's Facebook page "Tuoi Tre Cu Jut". Through these activities, the unit hopes that local young people will be more confident and motivated to boldly participate in starting a business, contributing to the development of the local economy and society," said Ms. Le Thi Duy Linh, Secretary of the Cu Jut District Youth Union.
