Students of Thanh Mien 2 High School participate in voluntary blood donation

From March 31 to April 4, Thanh Mien District Youth Union and the district Red Cross Association coordinated to organize a voluntary blood donation festival at Thanh Mien 3 and Thanh Mien 2 High Schools and the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education.

The blood donation festival attracted hundreds of officials, teachers, students and armed forces in the district to participate. As a result, the organizing committee collected 115 units of blood. This is a valuable source of blood that helps upper-level hospitals replenish in time to provide emergency care for patients.

In recent times, Thanh Mien district has always proactively approached blood donation sources; actively promoted and mobilized people in many forms, spreading the good value of blood donation to save lives among all classes of people. Since the beginning of the year, Thanh Mien district has mobilized more than 800 blood donations, reaching 53% of the yearly plan.

In 2025, the Thanh Mien District Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee plans to organize at least 3 voluntary blood donation campaigns, collecting about 1,500 units of blood. In 2024, the entire district will collect nearly 1,600 units of blood, exceeding the plan by 300 units.
