In the 11 months of 2023, the export value of fruits and vegetables is estimated at 5.3 billion USD, an increase of 74.5% over the same period in 2022.
In the structure of exported fruit and vegetable products in the first 10 months of 2023, fruit products contributed greatly to the growth rate. In particular, durian, jackfruit, and mango are the fruits with significant growth rates.
Leading in export value were durian reaching 2.07 billion USD, up 606.3%; jackfruit reaching 168.6 million USD, up 35.5%; mango reaching 154 million USD, up 41.4% over the same period in 2022. Meanwhile, dragon fruit and banana tended to decrease in the first 10 months of 2023.
Next is the processed product group reaching 996.5 million USD, up 18% over the same period in 2022. Of which, the export value of many processed fruit and vegetable products recorded positive growth, including products processed from passion fruit, pistachios, mangoes, and almonds.

In the first 10 months of 2023, the export value of vegetables and tubers reached 233.5 million USD, an increase of 4.9% over the same period last year. Of which, the export value of many types of vegetables and tubers increased, including: chili, cauliflower, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, and cabbage.
On the contrary, the export value of some types of vegetables and tubers decreased, such as sweet potatoes, corn, etc.
In general, in the structure of exported fruit and vegetable categories, the fruit group is still mainly concentrated in fresh and frozen form, therefore, in the short term, Vietnam's fruit group has not been able to increase the value of the product.
For the specialized processing group, Vietnam has exploited many products well, but some processed products from coconut, pineapple, dragon fruit, custard apple, etc. have not been exploited well.
