Techcombank successfully increased its charter capital to over 70,000 billion VND

Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank - HoSE: TCB) has just reported the results of its share issuance to increase equity capital from owners' equity.

Accordingly, Techcombank has completed the issuance of 3.52 billion common shares with a par value of VND 10,000/share to existing shareholders at an issuance ratio of 100%, with an exercise ratio of 1:1 (shareholders owning 1 share receive 1 right to receive shares, 1 right to receive shares receive 1 new share).

The last registration date to close the list of shareholders to issue shares to increase capital from equity is June 21. The ex-dividend date is June 20.

The shares will be transferred to shareholders in the third quarter of 2024, after completing the change of securities registration at Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation (VSDC) as well as registering additional transactions of new shares at HOSE.

After the issuance, the total number of outstanding shares of Techcombank increased from 3.5 billion shares to 7.05 billion shares, equivalent to an increase in charter capital of VND 35,225 billion to nearly VND 70,500 billion.

Thus, from 9th place, Techcombank's charter capital has now risen to 2nd place among 28 commercial banks, surpassing the 3 big State-owned commercial banks: Vietcombank, VietinBank and BIDV.

Previously, the State Securities Commission also issued a written notice on receiving full documents reporting Techcombank's stock issuance.

On June 5, Techcombank also implemented a plan to pay cash dividends to existing shareholders at a rate of 15%/share (shareholders owning 1 share receive 1,500 VND). The estimated amount of money that Techcombank spent to pay cash dividends is 5,283 billion VND.

In the market, in the morning trading session of June 28, Techcombank shares were being traded at VND23,350/share, down 0.43% compared to the previous session with a trading volume of nearly 1 million units .
