According to statistics from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, compared to the same period in 2024, the number of tourists to Tay Ninh increased by more than 200%. Tourism revenue in January this year reached 473 billion VND, an increase of 205% over the same period last year.
Of which, from January 25-30, 2025, that is, from December 26 to the second day of the Lunar New Year, the number of visitors to tourist areas and spots in the province is estimated at 276,600, an increase of 11.4% over the same period, with estimated revenue of VND 225.7 billion, an increase of nearly 26.8% over the same period.
January this year also coincides with the Lunar New Year, so Tay Ninh province has decorated the streets, cleaned up the urban area, trimmed trees on the main roads, and filled with flags. Tourist areas, attractions, and accommodation facilities are also decorated, preparing the best conditions to serve tourists.
This is also the time when the demand for services such as accommodation and food increases. Many people also take advantage of this time to increase the prices of services. Therefore, to deal with the situation of overcharging tourists, the Market Management Department has directed the Market Management Teams to regularly check the price posting and selling at the listed price for all organizations and individuals doing business inside and outside the Spring Festival area; requiring them to sign a commitment not to produce or trade in counterfeit or poor quality goods, ensuring food hygiene and safety.
At the same time, the Market Management Department also plans to send officers and civil servants to strengthen inspection work; coordinate with local functional forces such as: Police, Finance... to regularly strengthen inspection and handle violations in the implementation of posting service prices and collecting according to the listed prices for organizations and individuals doing business in services such as: food, accommodation, parking... in the whole province.
