The book "History of the Xuan Truong District Party Committee (1930-2023)" was published in August 2024, consisting of 9 chapters with nearly 600 pages. The content of the book has summarized relatively fully, comprehensively and vividly the process of building and developing the Xuan Truong District Party Committee over the past 93 years (1930-2023). In particular, it focuses on highlighting many revolutionary movements and many turning point events, leaving important marks in the development stages of the District Party Committee. The book is a valuable document serving the research and development of the Party's historical theory, whileeducating the tradition and history of cadres, party members and people, especially the young generation, thereby joining hands to build the heroic and cultural Xuan Truong district to become increasingly rich, beautiful, civilized and modern. In addition, the publication and distribution of the book also meets the needs of readers inside and outside the district to learn about the history of Xuan Truong district.

Comrade Ngo Ngoc Vu, Standing Deputy Secretary of Xuan Truong District Party Committee, said: Xuan Truong is a district with a long history, culture and revolutionary tradition. Deeply aware of the position, importance and significance of the work of researching and compiling the history of local revolutionary traditions, in recent years, the District Party Committee has always paid attention, focused on and closely directed this task. Implementing Directive No. 20-CT/TW dated January 18, 2018 of the Central Party Secretariat on "Continuing to strengthen and improve the quality of research, compilation, propaganda and education of Party history", Guidance of the Propaganda Department of Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee on "Research, compilation and publication of local Party history, history of agencies, units and propaganda and education of traditional history"; Xuan Truong District Party Committee has directed to focus on researching, implementing the revision and publication of the book "History of Xuan Truong District Party Committee in the period 1930-2023"; At the same time, direct the Party Committees of communes, towns, and sectors to compile, edit, supplement, and publish traditional histories of sectors and localities.

After publishing the book "History of the Xuan Truong District Party Committee (1930-2023)", the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee issued a directive on researching, compiling, republishing, editing, and supplementing the history of the commune-level Party Committee; requiring Party committees and authorities at all levels to focus on leadership and direction to successfully complete the work of compiling and publishing the history of local Party Committees and traditional history. The Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee issued instructions on the work of researching, compiling, editing, adding, and republishing the history of the Party Committees of communes and towns and the work of propaganda and education on traditional history. In particular, the Party Committees of communes and towns organized the research on editing, supplementing, and republishing the history of the local Party Committee until 2025. The requirements of researching, editing, adding, and republishing must ensure Party nature, education, science , historical value, and compliance with regulations; the book is a document for educating revolutionary traditions for cadres, Party members, and people. localities, especially the younger generation, to preserve and promote revolutionary traditions. Up to now, 11/14 communes and towns in the district have registered for publication in 2025, the District Military Command is researching and compiling.

Along with publishing historical books of local Party committees, sectors, and armed forces, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee regularly directs the District Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the District Party Committee Office, and the district's ideological and cultural agencies to build historical databases, photocopy pages of documents, and put all historical documents of the Party from 1930-2005 of the district, of communes, towns, and armed forces into the database, convenient for storage, preservation, and research. In addition, the work of educating revolutionary traditions is also focused on by all levels, sectors, and organizations in the district with many forms and rich propaganda measures, conveying historical content to the majority of people. Organizing meetings with historical witnesses, discussions, seminars, visits, and research at historical sites of the district associated with the process of formation and development of the District Party Committee. In particular, being proud of being the hometown of General Secretary Truong Chinh, the Party Committee and people of Xuan Truong district solemnly celebrated the 110th birthday of the General Secretary and inaugurated the Truong Chinh statue right at the district's Truong Chinh park. With diverse and rich forms of propaganda and education, it has actively contributed to raising the understanding of cadres, party members and people, imbued with the values, historical traditions, culture and revolution of the land and people of Xuan Truong. From there, it aroused the belief, pride and love for the homeland, encouraged the enthusiastic and active spirit of the people, contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland today.

To effectively carry out the work of researching and compiling history and experience of Xuan Truong district, Party committees and authorities at all levels must have a correct understanding of the role and position of the work of researching, compiling and educating the Party's historical traditions. In the current situation, the struggle on the ideological front is an urgent requirement, an important content and a sharp weapon in the Party's ideological and theoretical work, so it is necessary to have focused, close and effective direction. This is a decisive factor for the work of researching, compiling and educating the Party's historical traditions in the locality. Implementing the policy of streamlining and streamlining the apparatus of the current political system, it is necessary to focus on building a team of cadres doing ideological and cultural work that is "lean - strong, effective, efficient and effective", which is an important factor that directly affects the effectiveness of educating revolutionary traditions. In the process of research and compilation, it is necessary to mobilize and exploit the efforts and intelligence of all levels, sectors, veteran revolutionary cadres, generations of leaders through the periods and the masses in collecting and exploiting historical documents to serve the research, compilation and education of historical traditions. Pay attention to investing in facilities and funding for the research, compilation and education of historical traditions. Have appropriate training mechanisms to encourage specialized cadres, collaborators, historical witnesses... to participate in the work of collecting, researching, compiling and publishing the Party's history. This is one of the practical and effective solutions to promote the research, compilation and education of revolutionary historical traditions of Party committees, especially at the grassroots level. Create close unity and synchronization between levels, sectors, mass organizations from district to grassroots, enthusiastic support and assistance from the masses for the work of researching, compiling and educating revolutionary historical traditions in the locality. Closely direct the process of collecting, researching, compiling, appraising, publishing, further improving the quality of historical publications; ensuring the Party nature, scientific nature, and practical summary of historical publications. In parallel with the work of directing the collection, research, and compilation of Party histories at all levels, it is necessary to strengthen propaganda and education work in many diverse and rich forms on the history of Party chapters and revolutionary history of sectors and mass organizations to most effectively exploit the value that historical books bring.
