Mr. Phoc said that currently, cashless payment activities have been actively implemented by the Finance sector. Accordingly, regarding budget collection, the General Department of Taxation, the General Department of Customs and the State Treasury are constantly expanding their coordination in budget collection with commercial banks. To date, more than 99% of budget collection transactions have been carried out using non-cash payment methods.
Regarding budget expenditures, the State Treasury has completed providing level 4 online public services for all administrative procedures and integrated them into the National Public Service Portal, and widely deployed automatic payments for electricity, water, and telecommunications expenses according to the authorization documents of budget spending units.
“Currently, more than 40,000 budget-using units have authorized the State Treasury to automatically pay electricity, water, and telecommunications expenses on the online public service system with a total payment amount of more than VND3,000 billion. In addition, the tax authority has connected electronic tax payment with 57 commercial banks to deploy a variety of electronic tax payment methods,” Mr. Phoc informed.
According to the Minister of Finance, currently, regarding security, the Finance sector has directed organizations to monitor network security 24/7 to detect and handle cyber attacks early. At the same time, step up inspection and assessment of information system security before putting it into use and periodically during use. In addition, connect and share information on malware and network security monitoring information with the National Cyber Security Monitoring Center under the Ministry of Information and Communications; prepare to connect and share network security monitoring information with the National Cyber Security Center under the Ministry of Public Security.
