Strengthening friendship and cooperation between Da Nang and Champasak

Continuing the working program in the Central and Southern provinces of Laos, in the late afternoon of April 3, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh and the working delegation of Da Nang city visited and extended New Year greetings to the Party Committee, government and people of Champasak province (Laos). Secretary and Governor of Champasak province Alounxai Sounnalath chaired the reception of the working delegation.

On behalf of the leaders of Da Nang city, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh expressed his deep condolences when former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Khamtay Siphandone - an outstanding leader of Laos, a great friend of Vietnam, just passed away. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee was also impressed by the socio-economic development results of Champasak province in recent times, as well as the support of the locality, so that projects under the cooperation program for the period 2023 - 2027 were effectively implemented. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee also informed about the outstanding results achieved by Da Nang and emphasized that the signed cooperation program between the two localities will continue to be coordinated and implemented according to plan, thereby further developing the friendly and cooperative relationship between Da Nang and Champasak.

Secretary and Governor of Champasak Province Alounxai Sounnalath thanked Da Nang City for its good feelings, attention, support and cooperation over the past time, contributing to the development of the province. The Secretary and Governor of Champasak Province also provided an overview of the local situation, future development orientations and affirmed that the locality will coordinate with Da Nang City to continue reviewing and effectively implementing the agreed cooperation programs.

On this occasion, Da Nang city awarded 500 million VND in support to Champasak province to carry out social security work in the locality./.
