(Bqp.vn) - From March 18 to 22, a working delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, including the Department of Legal Affairs of the Ministry of National Defense, the Department of Militia and Self-Defense Forces, and the National Defense Academy, led by Colonel Nguyen Viet Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Legal Affairs of the Ministry of National Defense, introduced Vietnam's 2018 National Defense Law at the National Defense Academy and Kampong Speu Source Officer School under the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense.

At the reception on March 19, Ms. Damdariny, Secretary of State of the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense, thanked the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense for its effective support to the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense in general and in the field of military and defense law in particular; and emphasized that the new points in Vietnam's 2018 Law on National Defense will help Cambodia have a more comprehensive view, effectively contributing to the development and completion of the Cambodian Defense Law Project. Secretary of State of the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense Damdariny said that in the coming time, Cambodia will soon complete the military and defense legal system, contributing to strengthening the Royal Cambodian Army.

According to Colonel Nguyen Viet Dung, this working trip aims to concretize the content of cooperation in the field of military and defense law between the Ministries of Defense of Vietnam and Cambodia; support Cambodia in researching and learning about Vietnam's Defense Law, serving the construction of the Cambodian Defense Law Project, contributing to maintaining and promoting the relationship of "Good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability" between the State, Army and people of the two countries.
