Many new students and parents of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry from the Central and Western provinces came to Ho Chi Minh City from 3 a.m. to complete admission procedures.

On the morning of August 25, the yard of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry in Go Vap district was crowded with people.

Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, Head of Training Department, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, said that many of these people arrived at school at three or four in the morning. These were new students, their parents and relatives from the Central and Western provinces who took buses to Ho Chi Minh City to enroll.

"Because they haven't rented a place to stay, they come to school and wait until morning to complete the admission procedures before returning to their relatives' houses or looking for a place to stay," said Dr. Nhan. In addition, according to Mr. Nhan, many new students also want to arrive early to register for a place in the school's dormitory.

To ensure the safety of students and parents, the school opened the gate for them to rest.

Traveling from Dong Thap to Ho Chi Minh City this morning, Minh Anh, a new student majoring in Food Technology, said she arrived at school at 8am but there were already many parents and students waiting. At 11am, the female student still had not completed the steps to confirm her enrollment.

By noon today, Mr. Nhan said that about 500 new students had completed the admission procedures. This will take place until September 8.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, after knowing the admission results, candidates must confirm their admission online on the Ministry's system from August 24 to 5:00 p.m. on September 8. At the same time, students will enroll at the place of admission according to the plan of the schools.

Therefore, since yesterday, many universities have welcomed candidates to complete admission procedures. Normally, schools require candidates to submit personal documents and admission notice, temporary high school graduation certificate, pay first semester tuition, insurance, uniforms, dormitory (if any).

Master Pham Thai Son, Director of the Admissions and Communications Center, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, said that after one day, nearly 1,700 candidates had enrolled and paid tuition.

He said that parents and new students want to go to school early to complete admission procedures and then prepare accommodation and living conditions in time for the new school year.

Candidates who have not passed the first round of admission can register for additional admission at some schools from now until December.
