Who is the new Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee?

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, was transferred to hold the position of Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee.

On the afternoon of October 25, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Executive Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung presented the Politburo's decision assigning Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh to hold the position of Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Attending the conference were Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission Do Trong Hung; General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense.

At the conference, the Central Organizing Committee announced the Politburo's decision on the transfer and appointment of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Mr. Do Trong Hung, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, presented flowers to congratulate the new Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Doan Anh.

New Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Doan Anh was born in 1967, from Hoai Duc district, Hanoi city; admitted to the Party in April 1987. Political theory level: Senior. Professional level: University, majoring in Command - General Staff of combined arms; senior majoring in Military.

It is known that the new Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Doan Anh has worked and trained in the military and held many positions.

Specifically: In 2011, he was Deputy Commander of the Capital Command; in June 2015, he held the position of Commander of the Capital; in November 2018, he assumed the position of Commander of Military Region 4 and in 2019, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.

On January 30, 2021, he was a member of the 13th Party Central Committee for the 2021-2026 term. By November 2022, he was a member of the 13th Party Central Committee, a member of the Central Military Commission, and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army. On October 20, 2024, he was promoted to the rank of Senior General.

The predecessor of the new Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee was Mr. Do Trong Hung. In September 2024, Mr. Do Trong Hung was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission.
