The Vietnam Road Administration requires drivers to study traffic rules on highways to apply them appropriately and carry hazard warning signs to use when necessary.
The Vietnam Road Administration has just directed local Departments of Transport to strengthen traffic safety management in transportation activities.
Specifically, the Department requested the Department of Transport of localities to immediately direct transport business units in the area to continue to strictly implement regulations on business and conditions of transport business, effectively maintain the management department, and monitor traffic safety conditions according to regulations.
Units and businesses must require drivers to strictly comply with traffic rules, speed limits, and absolutely not use alcohol or stimulants when participating in traffic.
For routes on highways, there must be a suitable plan and route to ensure regulations related to working time and driver health.
“At the same time, study the traffic rules on highways as prescribed in Article 25 of the 2024 Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety to apply appropriately. Drivers are required to carry warning signs for use when necessary,” the document stated.
The Department of Transport directs passenger and freight stations in the area to fully implement traffic safety procedures and not allow unqualified vehicles to leave the station. Strengthen inspection, examination, and handling of violations by transport businesses in the area according to regulations.
