Mr. Vu Ba Mua in Noong De village, Nam Can commune (Ky Son) said that on Sunday morning, January 21, the Nam Can International Border Gate market took place as usual. However, this morning's market saw an unusually high number of people and vehicles passing through, causing serious congestion on the main road leading to the border gate.

"This morning, there was a traffic jam from dawn, and it was still not over by 10am. My younger sister from Muong Xen came back to her hometown to visit and go to the border market, but due to the traffic jam, she traveled less than 1km from the market to Noong De village, but it took 2 hours to get to her mother's house," said Mr. Mua.

The leader of Nam Can Commune People's Committee said that at the Nam Can border market at the end of the year, the number of people and vehicles participating increased many times compared to normal days, especially private cars. In addition, the increase in trucks carrying goods and trucks carrying ore from Laos caused traffic jams to occur frequently.
Currently, to resolve the traffic congestion, the government and functional forces are making efforts to divide lanes and regulate traffic to clear congestion points.

Because there is only one route, National Highway 7A, the police force is trying to divide the lanes to clear the traffic, vehicles moving in the opposite direction, including cars and motorbikes, must move close to the side of the road to let oncoming vehicles pass.
There are large trucks that have to put their wheels on the road near the boundary line to be able to pass.
