Bank interest rates today April 14, 2025: Interest rate packages remain high

On April 14, savings interest rates at many banks continued to be kept high, especially for long-term deposits.

The highest interest rate currently belongs to ABBank, applied to customers depositing from 1,500 billion VND or more for a term of 13 months.

PVcomBank also offers an interest rate of 9%/year for deposits at the counter, with a term of 12 to 13 months, with a balance of VND2,000 billion.

HDBank applies an interest rate of 8.1% for a 13-month term and 7.7% for a 12-month term, requiring customers to maintain a minimum balance of VND500 billion. Some other banks such as Vikki Bank,

Bac A Bank also lists interest rates from 7.5% to 6%, depending on the term and conditions of the deposit amount.

Banks are posting interest rates of 6% or more.

For regular savings, many banks still apply interest rates above 6% for terms of 12 months or more. For example, Cake by VPBank has a rate of 6%/year for terms of 12-18 months and 6.3%/year for terms of 24-36 months.

VietABank applies 6%/year for 18 and 24 month terms. GPBank maintains interest rates of 6.05%/year for 12 month terms and 6.15%/year for longer terms.

According to a survey by the State Bank, in the second quarter of 2025, deposit interest rates are forecast to be stable, with a slight increase of about 0.02 percentage points for terms over 6 months. Terms under 6 months may increase slightly by 0.17 percentage points this year.

Regarding lending interest rates, a slight downward trend continues to be recorded in the second quarter and the whole year of 2025. Lending interest rates may decrease by 0.03 to 0.08 percentage points.

State Bank Governor Nguyen Thi Hong said that although some commercial banks have adjusted their deposit interest rates upward, the State Bank has promptly taken stabilization measures. By the end of the first quarter of 2025, deposit interest rates only increased slightly by 0.08%, while lending interest rates had decreased by 0.4% compared to the end of 2024. This is a positive sign in efforts to support the economy.
