On the afternoon of May 31, in Vinh City, leaders of Song Lam Nghe An Football Club had a working session with representatives of Mito HollyHock Club (Japan).
The meeting between the two sides aimed to cooperate in operating professional football clubs, youth training, community football, school football, exchanging and learning experiences. Mito HollyHock has a very stable source of income from football, so the representative of this team is willing to share experiences in building and developing commercial football for Song Lam Nghe An to learn.

Both sides also hope that the youth teams will have exchange and training trips so that players in the U15 and U17 age groups will have more opportunities to compete, contributing to creating a solid stepping stone for young talents before becoming professional players.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Vietnam Football Federation, shared: “Song Lam Nghe An is one of the cradles of national football, with a long history of development and a youth system that is always among the top of Vietnamese football. I see certain similarities between Song Lam Nghe An and Mito HollyHock, so it is promising that the two clubs will open up opportunities for cooperation to develop together. With cooperation like this, we believe that Vietnamese football will have breakthroughs in the near future, meeting the expectations of fans.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Sano Motonori, Head of Mito Hollyhock Cooperation Department said: “We expect that the cooperation between the two clubs in the coming time will help Song Lam Nghe An further enhance its potential and development in the future. Song Lam Nghe An still has many problems that we can share experiences to help the team overcome. We hope that in the future, the two clubs will have deeper cooperation and we believe that this cooperation will bring good results."

Mr. Truong Manh Linh, General Director and CEO of Song Lam Nghe An shared: “In our discussion with Mito HollyHock, we hope to further develop Song Lam Nghe An’s youth training in terms of expertise to improve the club’s professionalism. Mito HollyHock will send experts and coaches to train to improve Song Lam Nghe An’s expertise, thereby the two clubs will move forward to send players back and forth between the two sides to learn from each other. More importantly, we want to improve the quality of management, learn from Mito HollyHock’s model of sustainable development, which is the goal that Song Lam Nghe An is aiming for.”
