On the evening of October 25, at the Central Stadium of Phu Xuyen district, the first competition of the Preliminary Round of the Competition to Learn about the Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots Level took place, with the participation of 6 units in Emulation Cluster No. 4 of the City Fatherland Front (TPFF) namely Phu Xuyen, Ung Hoa, My Duc, Chuong My, Thuong Tin and Thanh Oai.
Implementing the Plan of the Steering Committee for building and implementing grassroots democracy regulations in Hanoi City and the Plan of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City on organizing the Contest "Learning about the Law on Implementing Democracy at Grassroots Level" in Hanoi City in 2024, the Contest is chaired by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, taking place in two forms: online contest and staged contest.
The online competition was held from September 1 to September 30, 2024 with 4 weeks of competition, with 658,135 participants. The dramatization competition was organized at the city level with two rounds. The preliminary round with 5 competitions corresponding to 5 emulation clusters of the City Fatherland Front to select excellent teams to participate in the final round.
According to the leader of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City, the Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots Level is an important legal document, specifying the people's mastery, ensuring that people can participate in the process of social and state management, thereby strengthening people's supervision of local government activities.
Implementing democracy well at the grassroots level is not only the responsibility but also the right of each individual, contributing to building a transparent, honest and effective administration; implementing the motto "people know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise and people benefit". In the current context, implementing democracy well at the grassroots level not only helps to strengthen people's trust in the Party and the State, but is also a driving force for sustainable and comprehensive development.
The contest to learn about "Law on Implementing Democracy at Grassroots Level" in Hanoi in 2024 is one of the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the city to widely propagate the Law on Implementing Democracy at Grassroots Level, to welcome the success of the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2024-2029 term, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital and the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's tradition day.
The contest is not only an opportunity to learn more about the contents of the Law but also an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of learning, exchanging and sharing practical experiences in the process of implementing democracy at the grassroots level. This is also a meaningful activity to promote propaganda, creating conditions for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers of agencies, units, localities and people, businesses in the city to access, learn, and improve their understanding of the Party's policies, State laws and policies on democracy at the grassroots level, especially the Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots Level.
