This morning, August 22, the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review 1 year of implementing Plan No. 115-KH/TU dated September 13, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on developing party members among high school students (Plan 115). Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang chaired the conference. Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee Phan Van Phung; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Ho Dai Nam attended the conference.

Education to foster revolutionary ideals for high school students
Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang analyzed and highlighted the purposes, requirements, specific tasks and results achieved after 1 year of implementing Plan 115. Thereby, praising the Party Committees, agencies, and high schools for seriously and responsibly implementing the plan, and congratulating 212 excellent student party members who were admitted to the Party.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang requested Party committees, agencies, and high schools to raise awareness of the significance and importance of developing Party members among high school students and consider this a regular task in Party building. Thereby, promoting the achieved results, especially good and creative ways of doing things as well as overcoming difficulties and limitations, and making efforts to effectively develop Party members among high school students.
The Education and Training sector continues to do a good job of teaching knowledge and educating and nurturing revolutionary ideals for students in schools. Relevant agencies should promptly innovate the content and methods of fostering political theory and be flexible in the organization to create conditions for students to participate in learning and achieve the best results.
The school's Party Committee regularly monitors and cares for students admitted to the Party, effectively assigns official Party members to help probationary Party members, creates conditions for Party members to participate in Party activities according to regulations, and effectively transfers Party activities to Party members who are students who have graduated and completed their studies at school.
District Party Committees need to issue a specialized resolution on developing party members in schools to implement Plan 115 with the best results...

212 excellent students admitted to the Party
The Provincial Party Committee's report stated that, implementing Plan 115 and the guidance of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, the Standing Committees of the district, town, and city Party Committees and the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc have developed and issued plans for implementation, setting targets for admitting party members to high schools in the province; Party committees, party cells, and youth organizations in schools have actively created sources for developing party members.

The Provincial Youth Union and the Department of Education and Training issued documents directing and guiding relevant units, and coordinated with local Party committees to effectively implement the requirements of the Provincial Party Committee, focusing on implementing the model of "Party members at the age of 18". The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department guided the district-level Party Committee's Propaganda Department to develop lectures suitable for high school students to serve the training work at district-level political centers to arouse pride in the revolutionary traditions of the homeland and country among students.
Quang Tri Newspaper and the provincial Radio and Television Station promptly developed a propaganda plan on developing party members in schools.

Since then, the work of developing party members among high school students in the province has had positive changes in quantity and quality. In the 2023-2024 school year, the whole province has admitted 212 party members who are excellent students in high schools, vocational education centers, and inter-level schools; accounting for 26.1% of the total number of party members admitted in the whole province; accounting for 87.2% of the total number of students receiving Party awareness training and an increase of 193 party members compared to 2023; accounting for 2.52% of the total number of 12th graders. There are 2 students at inter-level schools (non-public), namely Trung Vuong Primary, Secondary and High School, and iSchool Quang Tri International Integration School, who were admitted to the Party.

Through the implementation of Plan 115, it can be seen that the source of Party members recruited from high school students is quite large and of high quality, which is the basis for localities to develop annual plans for developing new Party members, contributing to achieving the Party member development targets set by the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025; at the same time, encouraging students to have the awareness to study, practice and strive to be admitted to the Party soon.
At the conference, delegates highlighted the process of organizing and implementing Plan 115, experiences and results achieved.
Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Tran Thi Thu affirmed: The greatest achievement is the "maturity" in awareness and maturity of students admitted to the Party at the age of 18. They are given the most favorable environment to strive to practice and contribute to bring many high achievements for themselves, at the same time students learn many valuable experiences from teachers and party members in the Party cell to improve their studies.
Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Huong shared: In the coming time, the education and training sector will focus on propaganda and ideological and political education for students to deeply understand the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style as well as achievements in the country's innovation cause to strengthen faith in the Party's leadership, raise political awareness and help students soon have the motivation to strive to join the Party.
At the conference, the Provincial Party Committee awarded certificates of merit to 18 collectives and 14 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the work of developing party members among high school students in the province.
