As one of 26 students who completed the international semester at National United University (Taiwan - China) in 2024, Vu Thi Hoang Nhi, a student majoring in robotics and artificial intelligence at Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, said she learned many interesting things, especially improving her English communication skills.
"I like the practical teaching method, emphasizing practical application. In Taiwan, everyone is encouraged to participate in discussions, contribute ideas and learn from each other. The cultural diversity in the classroom also enriches my learning experience," Nhi said.
Sharing after the trip, student Do Truong Nhat Quang, majoring in logistics technology, said that the most impressive thing about coming to Taiwan was the very fresh and pleasant air.
"In the first semester, I studied basic subjects in Vietnam. In the second semester, I was lucky to have the opportunity to "go abroad". Although I had a good foundation in English, I still felt "stuck" when studying in Taiwan. I studied 100% in English with international professors as lecturers" - Quang excitedly said.
A group of students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics revealed their secret to saving money while studying abroad. Specifically, the group uses a spending management app, stays in dormitories, goes grocery shopping and cooks together, etc. The money saved after the semester is used to visit and experience new services, enjoy delicious food and Taiwanese culture.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Truong Thinh, Director of the Institute of Intelligent and Interactive Technology - University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, said that 2024 is the first year to organize an international semester for first-year students.
