During the meeting, the VFF Standing Committee discussed and persuaded Mr. Tran Anh Tu to stay.

After that, VFF voted and approved that Mr. Tu will continue to hold the position of Vice President in charge of VFF's professional affairs. This is the position he has held since 2022 until now.

Besides, Mr. Tran Anh Tu continues to hold the position of Head of VFF Futsal Department and still holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Professional Joint Stock Company (VPF).

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Anh Tu said he would arrange his business and committed to stay and complete his duties until the end of the ninth term (2022-2026).

Also at the meeting on the afternoon of March 27, the executive committee agreed to dismiss Mr. Vo Quang Vinh from his position as deputy head of the VFF referee board.

At the same time, the executive committee will refer Mr. Vo Quang Vinh's violation case to the disciplinary committee for disciplinary consideration.

According to the investigation, Mr. Vo Quang Vinh was assigned to conduct a physical examination of three female FIFA referees, Le Thi Ly, Tran Thi Thanh and Bui Thi Thu Trang, at the Hanoi Athletics Palace on February 5. The test content was to run 6 times x 40m.

However, Mr. Vinh arbitrarily allowed these 3 referees to run 4 times x 40m. Notably, in the report, Mr. Vinh wrote that these referees had run 6 times x 40m and scored as required.

After discovery, VFF concluded that Mr. Vinh had acted dishonestly and committed serious violations in the management and training of VFF referees. This issue affected the reputation of the referee board and VFF.
