The prominent events that occurred in the early matches of round 8 of V-League on December 26 were compiled by the tournament's Organizing Committee and a document proposing handling was sent to the Disciplinary Board of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
The first incident occurred in the match between the Hanoi Police team and Binh Duong team at Hang Day Stadium on December 26. The home club's technical director, Mr. Tran Tien Dai, rushed onto the field to protest against the referee in the 72nd minute and received a yellow card.

Not stopping there, Mr. Dai continued to have actions and words that insulted and offended the main referee Nguyen Viet Duan and immediately received a red card. Based on related documents and evidence, the Organizing Committee reported to the VFF Disciplinary Board: "Immediately after being dismissed from duty, Mr. Tran Tien Dai had a very offensive behavior, took off the duty card issued by the Organizing Committee of the tournament and threw it hard on the ground, and did not comply but continued to stay in the technical area despite the 4th referee's continuous reminders and requests, until the referee had to temporarily stop the match and request Mr. Tran Tien Dai to comply and leave the technical area, moving to the stands."
The tournament organizers wrote: " Considering that Mr. Tran Tien Dai's reaction seriously violated the regulations of the Regulations and Disciplinary Regulations of the VFF, affecting the organization and professionalism of the match and seriously affecting the overall image of the tournament, the tournament organizers request the VFF and the VFF Disciplinary Board to consider and take strict action against Mr. Tran Tien Dai's violations."
The tournament organizers also considered the case of player Nguyen Thanh Thao - Ho Chi Minh City Club who had a cold-blooded attack on Nguyen Van Hanh - Ha Tinh Club in the match at Thong Nhat Stadium. Thanh Thao's entire behavior was recorded by live television cameras. However, in this situation, the main referee Do Thanh De only gave a yellow card to player Nguyen Thanh Thao.
Thanh Thao's act of hitting the ball was condemned by the media and the audience. Most people think that Thanh Thao deserves to receive additional disciplinary action.
Considering that Thanh Thao's yellow card is not appropriate to the level of violation, the tournament organizers request VFF and VFF Disciplinary Board to consider and impose more severe penalties on player Nguyen Thanh Thao for the above violation.
In addition to the two incidents mentioned above, the tournament organizers also proposed to consider handling the violations of the Hanoi Police Club. Specifically, this team deliberately did not comply with the countdown time, despite the match supervisors' constant reminders and requests, causing the match to start about 5 minutes later than scheduled.
Round 8 of Night Wolf V-League 2023 - 2024 has 4 matches taking place on December 27. After that, the tournament will take a break to make room for the Vietnamese team to focus on preparing for the 2023 Asian Cup, the Lunar New Year holiday and will return to compete from February 17, 2024.
