The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is equipped with a Cortex-X4 CPU core running at a clock speed of up to 3.7 GHz, accompanied by 5 high-performance cores and 2 energy-efficient cores.
Qualcomm's next high-end processor is codenamed SM8650 and the GPU will be called Adreno 750.
TSMC is expected to continue manufacturing the chip, moving from the N4 node to the N4P node, which is still 4nm process technology but with a few improvements, helping to increase performance as well as energy efficiency.
The reason TSMC is not adopting the 3nm process is because of the production cycle - N4P is good enough and quite affordable, and the factories in Taiwan are ready to start mass production after the phone companies finish testing.
