Hanoi tourism gift festival coming soon

Accordingly, the theme of “Hanoi Gifts” at this year’s festival is to develop culinary gift tourism, a new trend in many countries. Visitors not only experience food and drinks, but also experience the cultural identity and life of the community at the destination, helping visitors learn and explore the cultural story of Hanoi behind each gift.

Through these “gifts”, the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024 aims to honor the culinary quintessence of Hanoi, contributing to preserving and promoting folk culinary culture. At the same time, discover and honor folk artisans, collect and preserve ancient recipes and processing methods, preserve and promote the culinary treasure not only of the Vietnamese people, but also of ethnic minorities across the country, contributing to the development of the capital's tourism industry. Through cuisine and culinary culture, attract tourists from all over the world to the capital Hanoi.

The highlight of the festival is the impressive opening ceremony with the convergence of many elaborate art performances, 3D mapping technology, and contemporary dragon dance art... bringing a unique visual experience to the audience. At the same time, it conveys the story of ancient and modern cuisine, delving into the harmony and convergence between the culinary flow and the cultural and historical flow of Hanoi. In particular, the special point of the ceremony is the unique opening ceremony, opening a journey to discover the quintessence of Hanoi's culinary heritage throughout the 3-day festival.

Activities within the framework of the festival include spaces for introduction, exhibition and promotion during the festival such as: Space for tourism gift products of enterprises producing and trading unique gift products; space for introducing products of tourism service enterprises; space for experiencing craft villages, exhibition space for checking in the beauty of Hanoi; space for introducing culinary quintessence expressed in the form of gifts for guests such as tea, coffee, dried apricots, lotus jam, green rice cakes, spring rolls, etc.

The festival attracts dozens of stalls that have been carefully selected through two festivals, opening up a "36 streets" space that is close and familiar to the public. Along with the typical culinary stalls "Hanoi Gifts", the festival will introduce to the people of the capital and tourists the beauty and charm of Hanoi through the gifts with the typical flavors of the 36 streets.

Besides, there are street performances: Festival drum performance, gong performance by Muong ethnic people, Thach That district, Hanoi along with street circus performances, hip hop, and flashmob dance will bring visitors joyful and interesting experiences.

In addition, there is an art program of singing cheo tau and ca tru, singing trong quan, and music performance "Nong nang Ha Noi". Coming to the festival, visitors can also participate in craft workshops such as making flute kites, silk reeling and silk painting, making bamboo dragonflies, figurines, painting pictures, painting ceramic vases... along with culinary workshops such as coffee making instructions, bartenders and many other interesting activities.
