According to the schedule, after the preparatory session, the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly will solemnly open at the National Assembly House. At the opening session, the National Assembly Chairman will deliver an opening speech.
At the preparatory session, the National Assembly will consider the contents expected to be submitted to the session and consider approving the agenda of the National Assembly session. According to the agenda expected to be submitted to the National Assembly for approval, on the first day of the session, the National Assembly will conduct the personnel process for the position of President in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and the law.
The 8th session of the 15th National Assembly will be held in two phases. Specifically, the first phase will be from October 21 to November 13 and the second phase will be from November 20 to the morning of November 30, during which the National Assembly will work on 4 Saturdays. The total working time of the session is expected to be 29.5 days.
Regarding legislative work, at this session, the National Assembly will consider and pass 15 laws; consider and pass 3 legal resolutions; At the same time, the National Assembly will consider and give opinions on 13 draft laws.
During this session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on investment policies for a number of important transport projects, including the investment policy for the North-South high-speed railway.
According to the announcement of the National Assembly Office, at 8:00 a.m. on October 21, the National Assembly held a preparatory meeting, discussed and voted to approve the agenda of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
At 9:00 a.m. the same day, the National Assembly held the opening session of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly at Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly House. The opening session was broadcast live on VOV1 (Voice of Vietnam), VTV1 (Vietnam Television), and Vietnam National Assembly Television.
