In the summer of 2023, Man Utd spent 72 million pounds to recruit Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta. However, the performance of the Danish striker was extremely bad. After 8 matches in the Premier League, Hojlund has not scored a single goal.

Not only that, statistics show that Hojlund is much weaker than the average striker playing in the Premier League. Specifically, the player born in 2003 only has an average of 1.7 shots per 90 minutes in the highest league in England.
With this poor finishing performance, Hojlund is only ranked 100th among players playing in the Premier League (only counting players who have played at least 180 minutes).
Notably, the leader is Darwin Nunez (Liverpool) with 5.7 shots per game. Meanwhile, Rashford is in 12th place with 3.6 shots per game, and Bruno Fernandes is in 36th place with 2.9 shots per game.
That shows that Hojlund's positioning and handling ability are really problematic. It is understandable for the Danish striker when he just joined Man Utd and has not yet gotten used to the new playing style.

However, what makes people worry is that Hojlund does not know how to take advantage of the few opportunities. Even the ability to create goals of the striker born in 2003 is very poor. He has not had any passes to score.
Hojlund only made up for it with three goals in the Champions League. However, his performance was not commensurate with the £72 million Man Utd spent. His ability in front of goal is considered Hojlund's weakness.
It should be added that in his career, Hojlund has never scored more than 9 goals in the national championship (10 goals in all competitions). Even last season, Hojlund only scored 9 goals for Atalanta in Serie A, before being sold to Man Utd for a terrible price.
