According to Tuoi Tre Online , The Cong - Viettel Club is looking for another home field to play matches in rounds 20 and 21 of V-League 2024 - 2025, which will take place on April 26 and May 2.

Currently, the army team is in contact to rent Hang Day stadium. The opponents of coach Nguyen Duc Thang and his team in these two rounds are Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) and Da Nang .

The reason for this is that on April 22, My Dinh Stadium will be used as the venue for the program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South. This is a meaningful program, chaired by the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, and the Hanoi City People's Army Radio and Television Center.

The Organizing Committee of Vietnam Professional Leagues (VPF Company) has received the information and is working with The Cong - Viettel Club to find a solution. Coach Duc Thang and his team will host SLNA and Da Nang in rounds 20 and 21 on a neutral field instead of My Dinh Stadium.

Then in rounds 22 and 23 of the V-League, The Cong - Viettel will play away before returning to play at home at My Dinh in round 24, taking place on May 24.

A few days before that, VPF will re-evaluate the quality of the My Dinh Stadium turf. If the maintenance plan of the The Cong - Viettel Club and the My Dinh Stadium Management Board is not guaranteed, VPF will make another decision to ensure professional requirements.

With the current 3rd position on the rankings, The Cong - Viettel Club still has a chance to win the V-League 2024 - 2025 championship. However, having to leave home in the upcoming important period will greatly affect coach Duc Thang and his team.

Besides, the quality of My Dinh stadium is not only a headache for the home team The Cong - Viettel but also a fear for the visiting teams coming here to play.

Recently, two players Vu Tien Long (Quang Nam) and Pham Ly Duc (Hoang Anh Gia Lai) were seriously injured when playing at My Dinh Stadium. On April 10, Tien Long had to undergo surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament, while Ly Duc suffered a grade 2 ligament sprain. The players and coaches of the team all complained about the bad grass at My Dinh Stadium, which is dangerous for the players.
