Previously, through understanding the thoughts and aspirations, Principal of A Xing Primary and Secondary School Nguyen Mai Trong and staff and teachers knew that many people in the area love to read books but they still have difficulty accessing books. Faced with this reality, the school's staff and teachers came up with the idea and implemented the "Knowledge Car" model. After the school leaders shared this idea, the Plan Project agreed to support the construction of the model.
The “knowledge car” is designed as a trailer, which can be attached to a motorbike, making it convenient for moving to different locations. The car has a dedicated area for displaying and storing books. The car’s canopy is designed to open and close flexibly, ensuring that readers can avoid the sun and rain while searching and selecting books. On the body of the car, school staff and teachers provide the national hotline number for child protection 111.
According to the plan, every month, the staff and teachers of A Xing Primary and Secondary School will bring the “Knowledge Car” to the village. All people in need will be introduced, consulted, and lent books... In addition, the school staff and teachers will flexibly organize propaganda activities on the Party's policies, the State's policies and laws; provide information on issues that people are interested in; introduce new production, business and technology models...
According to the Principal of A Xing Primary and Secondary School, Nguyen Mai Trong, the “Knowledge Car” model is one of the school’s projects and activities in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day on April 21. Although it has just been launched, information about the model has spread widely and has received great attention and response from the people.
“Through this model, we hope to instill a love of books in the hearts of every citizen, especially parents. When parents love books, their children will have an easier time going to school and accessing books,” said Mr. Trong.
